A long time ago...

in a land far away, there lived a family who took an adventure.  It was fraught with struggles and challenges to overcome.  This is the part of the story where new things were discovered.  It begins in foreign place, in a beautiful spot, right across from the forest - in the east portion of la forĂȘt Soignes, Kapucinnebos.

These are the memories of those times and travels...
It sounds a bit like The Hobbit.  It is quite true that "All who wander are not lost" as Gandalf says.  I do feel an excitement bubbling within as I think about our life and travels overseas. Herein I will write my musings and tell stories of our adventures though Europe several years ago.  We were living in Overijse, Belgium, having moved from the midwestern part of the States via a short year in Bad Soden am Taunus, Germany.  The picture above of the forest path is one my daughter took of "OUR forest" in summer and where we took many walks.

Next time, I will share about some of the children's adventures there before I introduce some of our jaunts from home.  Come on over to my other blog, gracefulthought. Be encouraged and learn about Grace for the day in Charlotte Mason Home Educating, Motherhood, Christian Living and Thoughts Toward the Beauty of Days and Times of Wonder.

As always, I wish you Grace for the Day...

Spezi the snowball, our 6 month old Tibetan Terrier, loved playing in the snow! Watching him bounding in great leaps - double his height, I just kept humming, "Bound, bound, bound and rebound..." Good thing we don't have a steep hill in the yard - can't you just see the cartoon sequence???

Nothing profound or insightful here ;-) Just the first picture uploaded to our blog!
